I didn’t want to snap, so I hope this came off as well-intentioned as I meant it. But I just can’t stand that some of the folks that judge fat-folk the most? Are those of us that were, or are currently— also fat.
How can we expect to cease the judgement of others, when we can’t even stop judging each other?——update——
I ended up removing my comment, and taking this to a private message. And we had to end up just… agreeing to not talk about it. Because it made me so angry trying to explain it to someone I felt should already understand.
And my emotion got in the way of being able to reason it out appropriately. But it makes me emotional. This girl is intelligent, and kind, and not hateful, she’s not judgmental. But her comment bothers me so much, and the ensuing conversation went downhill from there (on my side as well I admit).
:sigh:
And she is not the problem. The world is the problem. Medical convention is the problem. Society is the problem.
Well she is feeding the problem by continuing to think that way instead of opening her mind to new and more positive ideas. I think you are definitely in the right here, darling. I’d also like to add that supermarket girl might actually have a lover to eat that cake with, haha, definitely a possibility. That kind of judgement that she displayed has no place in the mind of someone who is truly secure and at peace with themselves.
