Something similar to this happens on my news feed all the time. -___-
I’ve seen so much hate on homophobes. Stuff to the point that they should go .
Do people not realize that you’re doing is almost exactly the same they are doing?
- Silencing people’s beliefs
- Closemindedness
- Denying people their rights to constitutional freedom
- Bullying/Harassment
Being narrow minded goes both ways.WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE HOMOPHOBES?
Because they surely go to bed at night worrying that faggots will change society to be supportive of the queer community and restrict homophobic people’s right to hate speech.

To say that the treatment homophobes get for discriminating against queers is the same as how they treat queer people is insulting. OP is essentially saying that queers and our allies should respect the fact that people want to discriminate against us and take away our rights or else we’re narrow-minded. Listen, all criticism homophobes get for their ignorance is warranted. They don’t have the basic decency to respect people. They oppress others with their homophobia. They prevent me and a whole lot of other people from being comfortable expressing our sexuality in public or even in private. Is is what you want?
What we should do is to not grant these people the right to openly express their bigotry, but to eliminate bigotry. If you think the right to hurt others is MORE important than stopping the hurt once and for all, then you should CHECK. YOUR. PRIVILEGE.

From the time I was 9 until I was 16, I was overweight. At my highest, I was 205 and at that time I was only about 5’2” tall. I was the fat kid and everyone’s token fat friend. At the time, I didn’t know that it was okay. I didn’t know that there is nothing wrong with being fat and that “fat” should never be used as an insult. Kids are cruel and I was made fun of for my often. Being fat, gay, and unpopular while living in a small town and going to a semi-rural school was really hard on me when I was younger. I never felt good enough. I never felt like I looked as good as anyone else.
Now at 19, I’m at about 165, and I stand 5’7” tall. My weight fluctuates between 160 and 170. I don’t know what caused my weight loss. I think it might have been hormonal changes paired with some more heathy choices when it comes to eating, but still, I have a stomach and dozens of stretch marks. My arms and my legs are strong, but my mid-section is flabby. And you know what? I love myself. I’m not actively trying to lose any more weight or get any more toned. I’m very happy with who I am. I surround myself with people who make me feel good about who I am. I have been with my boyfriend for two years now. Towards the start of the relationship, I hated myself. I would constantly compare my body to guys on TV and in magazines, and it created a gap between us. He told me I am beautiful, but I could not believe him. It took us almost breaking up for me to realize that I am good enough for him. He was fed up with me tearing myself down and wanted me to love me for me (like he does), despite my stretch marks, my acne, my early hairloss, my flabby stomach…and I do love myself now.
It kills me to see others hating themselves like I once did. Everyone is beautiful at every size. Please love yourselves! You are all absolutely beautiful, beautiful people and you shouldn’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
I recently got a tattoo on my bicep.
It says, “never going back again to crucify myself.” It is my favorite lyric from Tori Amos’s song “Crucify.” It reminds me to love myself and not put myself down. :D
Everyone please remember to LOVE YOURSELF. and STOP HATING YOUR BODIES! :)
